Surely, whatever one thinks of George W. Bush's successes and failures, he has to be given credit at least for liberating Iraqi Kurdistan?
Er, maybe not. This is a sensitive subject for the writers at NRO, some of whom have apparently gone on trips funded by Kurd groups. Also there are apparently some Americans, mainly Republicans, who are cashing in by doing various kinds of lobbying/consulting for Kurd leaders.
